The business first started in 1940. In the beginning, milk was delivered to customers in horse-drawn wagons. Over the years, new products were added, such as ice cream, popsicles, ice cream bars, fudge and mild cheddar cheese. Local farmers provided all the milk required by the plant. In 1976, this family-run company began to focus exclusively on cheese and ice cream. Since 1989, Jean & Johanne Provencher, the current owners, have been injecting renewed energy to the Coaticook business.

Cheeses: cheddar cheese curds (fresh daily), semi-pressed cheddar (fresh daily), white cheddar blocks (fresh daily), yellow cheddar blocks, marble cheddar blocks and ripened, brine-cured Mozzarella, grated or in blocks.

Ice cream (various flavours)

Ice milk, P’tit velours brand and other products.

Coaticook ice cream is our featured product. Quebecers enjoy its creamy, delightful, unique taste.
