The Vallons Maraîchers Farm, owned by Jacques Blain and Josée Gaudet, is located in the verdant countryside of Compton, Québec. Since the beginning in 1997, we have been growing a large variety of vegetables certified organic by Ecocert Canada. With 75 acres of cultivated vegetables, our company is one of the province’s large organic vegetable farms. We take great pride in the variety and the quality of the products we grow. The farm also includes 25 acres of woodland and 75 extra acres are required for crop rotation, green fertilizer, cereals and hay. Our company’s recipe for success is a bit of warmth, a bit of water and, most importantly, lots and lots of love and passion for what we do.

We produce a very wide variety of field vegetables as well as tomatoes, cucumbers and coloured peppers in our greenhouse. Our asparagus patch has been in production since 2008.

All of our products are certified organic by Ecocert Canada. In Québec our vegetables are sold under the Symbiosis label and some of our carrots are also packaged under the President’s Choice label, the Provido-Loblaws private brand.

Our products can be purchased directly from the farm on Fridays and Saturdays, in various fruit stores in the Coaticook and Sherbrooke area. The Vallons Maraîchers Farm is a member of a marketing company (Les producteurs biologiques Symbiosis inc.) and our products can be found across the province thanks to Montréal distributors. Through our membership in Deep Root, a Vermont producer’s cooperative, our products are also present on the U.S. East coast. Since the summer of 2009, we can be found at le Marché de la Gare in Sherbrooke every Saturday from mid-July till the end of October.
